Interferential Current (IFC)
What is Interferential Current (IFC)?
Interferential current is an effective, non-invasive therapy option used to relieve pain and stimulate the self-healing process. The high frequency signals of an IFC penetrate through the skin into deeper lying muscle tissues.
How Does it Work?
The IFC device transmits gentle, pain-free electrical impulses through your skin to the underlying tissue and nerves. These tissues and nerves are stimulated, which promotes self-healing.
What to Expect:
Soft, flexible electrodes are placed on your skin around the injured area. When the IFC device is on, you may feel a mild prickling sensation on the surface of your skin.
Benefits / Conditions Treated:
- Effectively reduces pain without medication
- Reduces inflammation
- Relieves painful muscle spaspms
